Flood advisory in effect for Indian River County

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — The National Weather Service has issued an urban and small stream flood advisory for Indian River County.

The advisory is in effect until 6:30 p.m.

According to the advisory, as of 4:37 p.m. on Monday, approximately 2.5 inches of rain have fallen in portions of Indian River County. Another 2-3 inches is expected before 6:30 p.m. in some areas.

Rainfall could cause minor flooding of roadways and poor drainage areas.
