Childcare Resources receives $2,500 grant

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — The TD Charitable Foundation, the charitable giving arm of TD Bank, has been extremely supportive of the Childcare Resources through the years.

They’ve helped support programs that ensure children receive the early education they need to be successful. The Foundation’s most recent donation of $2,500 will help subsidize childcare for more than 100 children between the ages of six weeks to five years at the Childcare Resources Education Center and other childcare centers throughout Indian River County.

“Each family has different child care needs and preferences. Many working families rely on our subsidized program so they can continue to work or pursue an education in order to break the cycle of poverty. On behalf of the board, staff, children and families we serve, many thanks to TD Charitable Foundation for their generosity and continued support.” says Executive Director Shannon McGuire Bowman.

Childcare Resources provides childcare tuition assistance for low income, working families. Since its founding in 1994, thousands of children have befitted from their program. They are a partner agency of United Way of Indian River County and Indian River County Children’s Services Advisory Committee.
