Howard Meade Evans, 91, of Sebastian, passed away on Aug. 24, 2014, at Sebastian River Medical Center.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years Dorothy Evans; sons Walter Evans (Corenne), Lynn Evans (Dawn) and Jeff Evans; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Evans was born in Granville, N.Y. and lived in Sebastian for 24 years coming from his birthplace. He was a veteran of the United States Army Air Corps having served during World War II. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Syracuse University, Syracuse, N.Y.
Evans was a member of Granville Baptist Church, Granville, N.Y.
Interment will be in Mettowee Valley Cemetery, Granville, N.Y. at a later date. Arrangements are by Strunk Funeral Home and Crematory, Sebastian. An online guest book is available at www.strunkfuneralhome.com.
