Daisy L. Andrews, 95, of Vero Beach, passed away on Aug. 18, 2014.
She is survived by her daughters Juanita Andrews and Linda Joyce Phillips; brother Theodore Gibson; sister Annie Ruth Johnson; 12 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Andrew Sr.; sons Thomas Andrews Jr. and Glenn Andrews; daughter Mary Lumpkin,; parents Minnie and Cleveland Gibson; and four brothers.
She was born on Sept. 4, 1918 in Smithville, Ga. and has been a resident of Indian River County since infancy.
Andrews attended the local schools of Indian River County.
She was a member of Mount Zion A.M.E. Church of Gifford. She was also a member of Gifford Cemetery Club.
Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Friday Aug. 22, at Stone Brothers Funeral Chapel. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday Aug. 23, at Mount Zion A. M. E. Church, 4221 28th Ave., Gifford. Burial will follow at Gifford Cemetery.
