Benjamin C. Patt Jr., 81, of Vero Beach, passed away on Aug. 3, 2014, after a battle with cancer.
He is survived by his beloved wife Judith S. Patt, whom he married in 1959; four daughters, Martha Manion (Peter), Sarah Patt-Pronek (Neal), Susannah Barratt (Jack), Jennifer King (Tom); eight grandchildren; and a sister Mariana Corrado (Tony).
Patt was born Oct. 4, 1932. He was a graduate of the Lawrenceville School, and a 1956 graduate of Colgate University. His many accomplishments included 35 years as a Rotarian, as well as many years volunteering for the Red Cross and the Salvation Army. Additionally, he authored five children books. He spent many years traveling and writing articles about his adventures.
Patt will be greatly missed for his great sense of humor as well as his practical jokes. His loved ones are sure that he is entertaining the angels in Heaven.
A memorial mass will be held on Monday, August 11 at Holy Cross Catholic Church at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers please send any donations in Ben’s name to Hospice House in Vero Beach.
