VERO BEACH — The Rotary Club of Vero Beach celebrated their 88th Annual Installation of Officers on June 26. This significant event was held at Vero Beach Country Club.
During this event a check was presented to the Gifford Youth Orchestra for $1,200 to help with the purchase of violins.
President Paul Tripaldi acknowledged the Rotary Club’s affiliation with Indian River State College through Rotaract, a club of young people, ages 18-30, interested in service activities; District Governor Arthur Hodge made remarks about the power and influence of Rotary both locally and internationally; and Rotarian of the Year Daniel Fourmont was acknowledged by his peers for his service to the Club.
In his acceptance remarks, President Paul Tripaldi shared his vision for the Club’s immediate future, including a Hollywood gala with speaker Stephen Humphrey Bogart set for Feb. 28, 2015.
