Eddie Darrisaw Jr. 82, of Vero Beach, died on July 23, 2014.
On Nov. 23, 1931, in Tennille, Ga., a bubbling baby boy was born to the late Ruby and the late Eddie Darrisaw, Sr. They named him Eddie Jr.
Eddie attended the school systems of Washington County. On June 23, 1948, Eddie was united in holy matrimony to Mary Ella Brown. To this union seven children were born, Emory, Mary, Gloria, Ruby, Leroy, Marvin, and Carolyn.
In 1950 Eddie and his family relocated to Vero Beach. Eddie as he was known to by many as Eddie Jr. and Jr. was employed by Airlite Processing Company where he was an operating engineer for 50 years before his retirement.
On July 23, 2014 at Indian River Medical Center, Eddie’s Life book came to a close.
Eddie Jr. is preceded in death by son Emory.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving and devoted wife, Mary Ella; five daughters, Mary Brunson, Gloria Lewis, Ruby Darrisaw, and Carolyn McNeal (Anthony) all of Vero Beach, and Sharon Dobson; two sons, Leroy Darrisaw and Marvin Darrisaw, of Vero Beach; his stepmother, Christine Hunter, of Vero Beach, 19 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, 15 great-great-grandchildren; four sisters-in-law, Ernestine Miller (Willie Lee), Gloria Hunter, and Annie Lee Williams and Hattie Hagans, both of Vero Beach; one brother-in-law James Hagans, of Wabasso; and a host of cousins and friends.
