INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — An Indian River County man has been arrested and faces two counts of battery on another man and his step-daughter, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Adrian Lopez, 23, was arrested around 11 p.m. June 27 in the 4400 block of 51st Avenue, according to the report. When authorities arrived, Lopez was naked and being restrained by another male.
The victim went outside to tie up their dog around 11:20 p.m. and did not return in her usual short order, according to authorities. Her step-father went to check on her and that is when he saw Lopez grabbing her by both wrists, according to what he told authorities.
“Why don’t you come outside anymore?” Lopez asked, according to the report. The step-father then engaged and the fight went to the ground.
During the fight, Lopez attempted to take off his belt to hit the step-father, which is when his shorts fell off, according to the report. Lopez allegedly bit the step-father during the altercation.
Lopez faces two counts of battery, and resisting arrest without violence, according to the Sheriff’s Office. He is currently being held at the Indian River County Jail on $2,500 bond.
