Johnnie Lou Smith, 81, of Sebastian, passed away on June 22, 2014.
She is survived by her daughter, Catherine Komarisky (David); sons, Jack C. Smith II and Thomas C. Smith; granddaughters, Magda Komarisky, and JoBeth Huskey (D.J.); grandsons, Garrett Komarisky (Bethany), and Jacob Komarisky; great-grandchildren, Caroline, Carson, and Bowen Husky and Jesse, Timothy, Tyler, Skylar, Zachariah Komarisky; brother, James E. Wilson; sisters, Edith Williams, Roberta Cole, Betty Sue Wilson, Martha Wilson, Elsie Conrad and good family friends, Liz Rosell and Boss Tom Raucher.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 40 years, Jack Smith.
Smith was born to Allen and Manuela Jones Wilson on Oct. 1, 1932 in St. Lucie.
She lived in Barefoot Bay. She worked in the Indian River County Schools system until she retired in 1992. She loved the State of Florida.
In lieu of flowers, contributions made be made to the Cancer Society, Visiting Nurses Association, American Heart Association or Hospice Foundation.
A Memorial service will be held from 1-5 p.m. on Sunday, July 20, at Building A in Barefoot Bay.
