Shirly Nebel Hartigan, 73, of Vero Beach, passed away on May 14, 2014.
She is survived by by brothers, David (Mary Alice), Tomas, Jonathan (Laurie), and Mark Nebel; sister, Tina Wonderly; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John R. and Vivian D. Nebel, and brother, Kevin.
Hartigan was born Sept. 18, 1940, in Butler, Penn., and resided for the past 24 years in Vero Beach.
She attended Edinboro State College where she pursued a degree as an art major and became an accomplished artist and jewelry designer. She also enjoyed world travel and floral designing.
Her family wrote, “Our sister was a gentle, compassionate lady that loved spending time with her family and friends and she will be greatly missed.”
Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Huntersville, N.C., assisted the family.
