Robert ‘Bob’ deMontigny, 79, Vero Beach

Robert “Bob” deMontigny, 79, of Vero Beach, passed away on April 18, 2014 after a year long struggle with cancer.

He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Deborah D. deMontigny; brother Bill (Shirley) deMontigny; daughters, Katherine (John) DeSantis, Roberta (Pete), and Mary (Marc) Gaudet; stepsons, Christopher (Melissa), and Michael Nadeau; grandchildren, Ethan Ballin, Megan (Howard) Schatzberg, Laura and Kyle Gaudet, Ben and Casey Rutledge, and Ella Nadeau; and great-granddaughter Jacqueline.

He was born in Springfield, Mass., and spent his youth in Longmeadow, Mass., and has been a resident of Vero Beach since 2001, coming from New Hampshire.

Prior to retirement he was a restaurant consultant and owner in N.H. He has been a Real Estate Broker in Florida since 2002 and recently worked at Dale Sorensen Real Estate., along with his partner and wife Debbie.

He was a private pilot and loved skiing and sailing, having done extensive sailing of the east coast and the Caribbean. He was a member of the Shriner at Bektash Temple, in Concord, N.H., and an Honorary Member of Kiwanis Club of Laconia, N.H.
