SEBASTIAN — The Sebastian River Art Club proudly presents the 16th Annual Juried Show in Riverview Park, Feb. 15 and 16. Deborah Gooch, renowned Vero Beach artist, will be judging the show, and on view will be fine art for sale in a variety of subjects and mediums.
The Sebastian River Art Club was founded in 1937 and has grown in numbers over the past few years, since moving into the Art Center space at 1245 Main Street, a space they share with other not-for-profit organizations.
The Club uses some of its resources to support local charities and City and regional beautification projects, in addition to supplying its members’ beautiful works of art in public buildings in the City and County as part of its Public Art efforts. Members enjoy the camaraderie of other artists, classes and mentoring by “seasoned” artists, and the Club offers demonstrations and other events, many of which are free and open to the public.
The 16th Annual Juried Show at Riverside Park is the Club’s premier two-day juried show, and features the finest works of our Club members in a beautiful park setting, overlooking the Indian River Lagoon. Available are framed paintings, graphics and photographs, prints, jewelry, pottery, sculpture and more.
Miniature original works of art painted by our members are also available there at our Club Informational Table, priced to sell at $10 with all proceeds going to the Ecumenical Food Pantry.
The park is located on the corner of CR 512 and US 1, and show hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days.
SRAC’s Art Center hours are Tuesday, Thursday and most Saturdays, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., where many Club members’ works are available for viewing. Call 772-581-8281 for further information.
