INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — When an Indian River County woman checked her mailbox last week, she found more than the mail – she found a bag of marijuana, according to the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office.
A resident in the 5700 block of 45th Street found a bag of marijuana in her mailbox with a Swisher Sweet cigar next to it, according to authorities.
The woman told authorities she did not know who had put the drugs in her mailbox and advised she was having a problem down the street with a lot of traffic coming in and out of it, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities took the drugs for safe keeping and were submitted into evidence for destruction.
