INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Wednesday around 8:45 p.m., in the 3800 Block of 49th Street, a resident was robbed at gunpoint after a woman, identified as Francis Ball, 31, knocked on his door, according to the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office.
Ball arrived in a white van to the apartment to borrow $150, according to authorities. When the victim opened the door Ball was pointing a black revolver in his face. Ball then asked for all his money.
She then went inside and removed money from his shorts, $100 cash in $20 bills. The victim said he was afraid for his life.
There was a man driving the van who was later identified as Jermiah Davis, according to the Sheriff’s Office. Ball was in possession of $80, she said she gave $20 to Davis.
She went on to say, after she was in custody, she was there to have sex with the victim for money and that when he couldn’t perform she kept the money and left.
Ball faces charges of felony robbery armed with a deadly weapon, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and theft. She is being held on $80,000 bond and remains in the Indian River County Jail.
She was convicted of 2nd degree felony for possession of cocaine with intent to sell or deliver in 2013.
