Deep-sea Archaeologist Robert Ballard will be the next to present, on Feb. 8.

Ballard is president of the Institute for Exploration, scientist emeritus at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, director of the Center for Ocean Exploration at the University of Rhode Island’s Graduate School of Oceanography and an explorer-in-residence for the National Geographic Society.

His new ship of exploration, the E/V Nautilus, explored the Aegean, Black, and Mediterranean seas in 2012.

Pulitzer Prize winning author Jon Meacham will be the following speaker, scheduled for March 1. He is an accomplished historian with a deep knowledge of politics, religion and current affairs.

On Saturday, March 22, Jon Huntsman, Jr., will conclude the speaking series. The former Utah Governor Huntsman has lived a remarkable life in business and in public service including as a candidate for the Republican presidential nomination in 2012.
