VERO BEACH — Meet Dr. Liz Sanders and her Alzheimer’s patients Dorothy, Irving and Janice. Some of their escapades are funny; others are more serious, even dangerous. Lately, Dr. Sanders has been experiencing some senior moments herself. Could they be symptoms of something more serious?
“Senior Moments” is a comedy/drama commissioned by Indian River Medical Center and sponsored by the Alzheimer & Parkinson Association of IRC and the American Association of University Women (AAUW). As a stage play it is entertaining, educational and thought-provoking.
A panel discussion, moderated by Dennis Saver, M.D., is planned, following the performance, for anyone interested in learning more about this disease.
Light refreshments will be served.
“Senior Moments” is being performed at the Vero Beach Theatre Guild on Feb. 1 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. and on Feb. 2 at 2 p.m.
Tickets are $10 and can be purchased by sending a check to P.O. Box 2143, Vero Beach, FL 32961 or by credit card (additional $1.00 service fee) on the website: www.AAUWVeroBeach.org then click Events and Fundraisers.
Tickets will be held at the door for each performance.
