INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — If Rosalyn Wilson’s father would have been sitting in his favorite chair he might have been hit by one of the bullets fired into their home Monday evening around 6 p.m.
Shots were fired in the 1000 block of 10th Ct. SW, according to calls to 911 dispatch. Four shots were reportedly fired, two entered the home where Wilson’s parents reside. Later, shots were also reported in the area of Osceola Magnet Elementary School, formerly the Thompson Lifelong Learning Center.
“I heard the shots,” said Wilson, who was just about to shower. Her mother was in the living room and her father had just laid down for a nap.
The bullets went through the wall and door. One deputy told Wilson one went through the chair as well.
“If he would have been in the chair, he probably would have been hit by the bullet,” said Wilson.
Two vehicles are believed to have been involved and might have included a burgundy SUV and a white Dodge Intrepid, according to police scanner traffic.
Calls have been put into the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office.
