VERO BEACH — Vero Beach Sports Village (VBSV) will once again serve as the site of the University of South Florida (USF) Bulls football training camp. The August 10-17 camp marks the fourth consecutive summer the Bulls will utilize the historic facility to prepare for the upcoming season.
“I’m looking forward to the opportunity to train at the Vero Beach Sports Village. I’ve heard nothing but good things about the people there, and I think it will be a good opportunity for this football team to come together.
We have a lot of work to do heading into the season, and this will give us a distraction-free location where we can just focus on what we need to get done,” said USF Bulls Head Coach Willie Taggart.
USF Executive Associate Athletic Director Bill McGillis mentioned the announcement on his Twitter account.
“Why Vero for USFFootball? @VBSportsVillage: seclusion, incredible fields, meeting space, outstanding housing/food, extraordinary service. THE best training camp site in all of college football,” McGillis tweeted.
“We are very pleased to be hosting the USF football team once again this summer for camp. We have developed an outstanding relationship with the university the past three years and look forward to once again providing an environment that allows them to prepare for their season,” explained Jeff Biddle, Director of Athletics and Marketing at VBSV.
