Less than two months until Tropical Night Luau

VERO BEACH — Grab your grass skirts and leis; it’s time to eat scrumptious tropical cuisine and dance the night away at the Youth Guidance 36th Annual Tropical Night Luau.

The fundraiser will be held Saturday, June 15, from 7-11 p.m., at the Quail Valley River Club, 2345 Hwy. A1A in Vero Beach. Island rhythms, waterfront dining, and socializing with friends are some of the highlights of this enjoyable evening that keeps partygoers returning year after year.

The Brass Evolution band is back for a second year and steel drums, a cash bar, and an auction will add excitement to this memorable night. Tropical attire is encouraged for guests.

Tickets are $75 per person if bought by June 10 ($85 thereafter) and can be purchased by calling the Youth Guidance office at (772) 770-5040 or visiting www.YouthGuidanceProgram.org.

Proceeds will provide year-round mentoring and activity programming for the children in Youth Guidance, which celebrates its 40th anniversary this year.

The mission of Youth Guidance, a United Way partner agency, is to empower Indian River County’s neediest youth through mentoring relationships, and broaden their horizons with educational, cultural, and recreational opportunities.

The agency is actively seeking volunteers to serve as mentors or periodic volunteers to participate in the variety of group mentoring programs and ongoing activities for children enrolled in the program, or to provide regular help in the office.

Youth Guidance is also looking for partnerships with businesses, service clubs, and church groups to pair with children for just one activity a year.

Persons interested in volunteering, mentoring, and/or attending Tropical Night Luau should visit the above mentioned website or call (772) 770-5040 for more information.
