Sammie Lee Jones Sr., 77, died April 26, 2013.
He was born in Quincy and lived in Vero Beach.
He was the owner of a lawn service company.
Survivors include his son, Sammie L. Jones Jr., of Vero Beach; daughters, Brenda Scarlett, Janice McGriff, Rosemary Chambliss, Candis Taylor and Vonette Jones, all of Vero Beach, and Gwenette Armand, of Gainesville; sisters, Elizabeth Bradley, Bertha McKenzie, Bernice Simmons and Bobbie Coffee, all of Vero Beach; 17 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. May 3 at Hortense/Mills Memorial Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. May 4 at St. Peter’s Missionary Baptist Church.
