Arthur O. Mercier, 84, died May 20, 2013, at Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach.
He was born in Dracut, Mass., and was a part-time resident of Vero Beach since the 1960s until becoming a permanent resident two years ago, coming from Massachusetts.
He served in the Air Force during the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion 39.
Before retirement, he worked as a sales engineer for Sherman Car Wash Systems and owned his own automotive repair shop.
He was a licensed pilot.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Alice S. Mercier; daughter, Sheryl Kliemisch, of Vero Beach; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Lauren Spangler.

No services are planned at this time.
