Dr. Joseph Alvin “Al” DuPree, DDS, 90, died May 7, 2013, at his home.
He was born in Miami and moved to Vero Beach in 1966 from his place of birth.
He received his degree in dentistry from Northwestern University, Chicago.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army Air Corps.
He practiced in Miami and in Vero Beach, spanning a 51-year career.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Vero Beach.
He was a member of the Vero Beach Country Club.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Phyllis; sons Mark, Ward and Rick DuPree; daughter, Susan DuPree; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Memorial contributions may be made to the VNA/Hospice Foundation, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
A celebration of life service will begin at 11 a.m. May 10 at the First United Methodist Church, Vero Beach, followed by a reception at the church.
Arrangements are by Strunk Funeral Home and Crematory, Vero Beach.
