Patricia Grassi, 95, died April 18, 2013, at the VNA/Hospice House in Vero Beach.
She was born in Perth Amboy, N.J., and lived in Vero Beach for 24 years, coming from Monroe, N.Y.
She held several jobs during her lifetime; first as a nanny, then as a shop steward for a candy cane factory and finally as a school dietitian at a New York City high school before retiring in 1965.
She attended Holy Cross Catholic Church in Vero Beach.
Survivors include her daughter, Ella Alber, of Vero Beach; sons, Gerald Grassi, of Vero Beach and Alex Grassi, of Thousand Oaks, Calif.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Frank Grassi.

Visitation will be from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. April 20 at the Strunk Funeral Home in Vero Beach with a Mass of Christian burial celebrated at 10 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church.
Entombment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Fort Pierce.
