Maria F. Roberts, 95, died Tuesday, April 2, 2013.
She was born in Brunssum, Netherlands, and moved to Vero Beach in 1945, coming from her birthplace.
She was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church, Vero Beach.
Prior to retirement, she worked as a housekeeper for the St. Helen convent and then for Piper Aircraft.
She served 18 years as a volunteer with Indian River Memorial Hospital’s auxiliary.
Survivors include her daughters, Mary Anne Mitchell, Catherine Smart, Margaret Bray, Patricia Criss and Johanna Maria Roberts; sons, John Harold Roberts and James Roberts; brother, Matthew Stalman; 16 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold A. Roberts; and sisters, Monique Tissot Von Patot and Barbara Schmidt.
Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Helen Catholic Church Building Fund, 200 Tallahassee Ave., Vero Beach, FL 32960.
A viewing will be from 5 to 7 p.m. April 7 at Cox Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home. A rosary will be said at 7 p.m.
A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. April 8 at St. Helen Catholic Church.
Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Fort Pierce.
