VERO BEACH — Dogs For Life, Inc. (DFL,) a 501(c)3 tax deductible, non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for people with disabilities by training assistance dogs for hearing and mobility, as well as veterans with the effects of PTSD, is sponsoring the 4-H Dog Masters Annual Dog Show at the off-leash dog park located at 1230 16th Ave. in Vero Beach on Saturday, April 13, at 11 a.m.
The club will be asking for a $5 donation to help with their annual community service projects. One project is to donate homemade dog toys to the shelter dogs at the Humane Society of Vero Beach; a second is to sponsor next year’s new members t-shirt and insurance costs. Any remaining funds will be donated to a non-profit organization in our community.
The club has practiced all year and is excited to show their obedience and agility training skills. Bring your lawn chairs and be prepared to have fun. A free DFL Off-Leash Dog Park membership will be given to a family with a dog that is inoculated, neutered, and social.
Join us to learn how the 4-H Dog Masters Club members are being prepared as future leaders of our community through an annual community service project, and also hear them report on their yearly project to their club and the public.
The club is open to youth between the ages of 8–18 and sponsored by members of Dogs For Life, Inc.
