“Violence against women is a pandemic problem affecting women in almost every country. Women, even when we are qualified, don’t get the jobs, salaries, or the benefits we deserve.
Women are not adequately represented on financial boards or included in key political and peace keeping processes in countries that have upheavals and wars. Locally and globally we must do something to bring attention to the gender gap that still exists,” according to Janke.
“International Women’s Day events bring women from all walks of life together to celebrate our progress. This is a good occasion for women to network and see how joining forces can really make a difference globally and in their communities. We need to support each other,” said Robin Dapp, East Florida Chapter Treasurer.
