Betsy Tooker, 88, died March 13, 2013, at Indian River Medical Center, Vero Beach.
She was born in Staten Island, N.Y., and lived in Vero Beach for 40 years, coming from Lake Mohawk, N.J.,
She was a graduate of Port Richmond High School, Staten Island, N.Y.
She worked as a telephone operator for Bell Telephone Co.
She was a member of the Sons of Norway, Fort Pierce, for 25 years and was a member of Dodger Pines Golf Club, Vero Beach.
Survivors include her husband of 70 years, Merritt Tooker, of Vero Beach; son, Merritt Tooker, of Vero Beach; daughters, Marilyn Salfelder, of Lake Mohawk, N.J., Karen Larson, of Barnegat, N.J., and Betsy Terjesen, of Cary, N.C.; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. March 17 at the Strunk Funeral Home, Vero Beach.
