Ruth P. (VanEmburgh) Andrews, 93, died Jan. 16, 2013. She was born in Riverside, N. J., and lived in Vero Beach for 14 years, coming from Tequesta.
She was a member of the Riverside Eastern Star, where she was a past matron and also a member of the Daughters of the Nile, serving as queen in 1977.
She did volunteer work at Zurbrugg Memorial Hospital for 20 years and was a charter member of the Jupiter Medical Center Auxiliary.
She was a member of Riverside Methodist Church in Riverside, the Jupiter-Tequesta Methodist Church and Vero Beach Methodist Church. Survivors include her sister-in-law, Patricia VanEmburgh of Woodbury, N.J.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Malcolm Andrews Jr.; and brother, William C. VanEmburgh Jr.
A memorial service will be at 1:30 p.m. Feb. 22 in the Multi-Purpose Room at Willowbrook Court, Indian River Estates, Vero Beach.
Burial will be at a later date at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Burlington, N.J.
Arrangements are by Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home, Vero Beach.
