Elizabeth Ann Fox Canfield, 70, died Jan. 7, 2013.
She was born in Lowell, Mass., and graduated from Pine Manor College, Chestnut Hills, Mass.
She was a longtime resident of Utica, N.Y., before moving to Vero Beach.
She volunteered with the Faxton Council, serving as president.
She also served as a member of the Board of Managers for Faxton Hospital.
She served as a member of the board of both Children’s Hospital and the House of the Good Shepherd for many years.
She was a co-founder of the Pleasant Hills Garden Club and was a member of the Junior League of Greater Utica.
She was a member of Grace Church, Utica, and its Altar Society and of Sadaquada Golf Club in Whitesboro, the Adirondack League Club in Old Forge and the Orchid Island Golf and Beach Club in Vero Beach.
Survivors include her husband of 34 years, Gene Canfield; sons, William Fox Locke, of Utica, and Peter Stevens Locke, of Hopewell Junction, N.Y.; stepchildren, Donald M. Canfield II, Mary Catherine Canfield Hinckley, Jennifer Canfield Dudgeon, Anne Canfield Kuhn, and Mark W. Canfield; four grandchildren; and several step-grandchildren.

A requiem Eucharist celebrating her life will be at 11 a.m. Jan. 11 at Grace Episcopal Church, Utica, with the Rev. Dr. Leon C. Mozeliak officiating.
Burial will take place at Forest Hill Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
