Movie fundraiser scheduled for Dancing with Vero’s Stars

VERO BEACH — The IRC Healthy Start Coalition is holding a special event for Dancing with Vero’s Stars as a means for the public to meet the ten star dancers and their instructors, cast their votes, donate to their favorite dancer, learn about the Healthy Start Coalition, and enjoy a family movie all at the same time.

The event is sponsored by Perfection Paint & Body, Cooper & Co., and Majestic Theatre.

Thanks to an invitation from the Majestic Theatre, located on US 1 in Vero Beach, a V.I.P. viewing of Safe Haven, based on the book by Nicolas Sparks and starring Julianne Hough and Josh Duhamel, will be held on Sunday, Feb. 17, at 3:30 p.m.

The showing of this movie, geared towards teens and their parents, is $20 for adults and $15 for students under the age of 18. The ticket price will include the movie, soda, popcorn, and one free raffle ticket towards an array of great prizes.

Additional raffle tickets will be available for purchase. A portion of the ticket cost, raffle ticket proceeds, and additional donations will represent votes for one of your favorite star dancers.

There will also be a short program preceding the movie which will include the introduction of the star dancers and instructors as well as an informational video about the Healthy Start Coalition.

This special screening is expected to be an early sell-out, so advance tickets are suggested. They are on sale now at the Majestic Theatre Box Office or by visiting www.MajesticVero.com.

This is the 5th year for the highly popular Dancing with Vero’s Stars where 10 local “stars” are matched with 10 professional instructors for a dancing competition and fundraiser for the IRC Healthy Start Coalition.

It will take place on the evening of Saturday, May 11, at Riverside Theatre, the Coalition’s new community partner.

Proceeds from this event will benefit the Healthy Start Coalition and Riverside Theatre’s programs and services.

The IRC Healthy Start Coalition unites together locally in community partnerships to promote a system of care that optimizes/maximizes healthy outcomes for all pregnant women, infants, young children, and their families.
