Price E. James Jr., 82, died Jan. 11, 2013, at Indian River Medical Center, Vero Beach.
He was born in Cincinnati and lived in Vero Beach for 41 years, coming from Memphis, Tenn.
He served in the Navy for 20 years retiring as a chief petty officer in 1967.
After his retirement from the Navy, Mr. James worked for the Postal Service for 20 years until he retired in 1993.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Shirley James, of Vero Beach; sons, Richard James, of Redding, Calif., and Patrick James, of Greer, S.C.; daughter, Kerri Grant, of Vero Beach; and one grandson.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Jan. 13 at Strunk Funeral Home in Vero Beach, followed at 7 p.m. by a service with military honors conducted by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3918, Vero Beach.
