VERO BEACH — Tiger Lily Art Studios & Gallery presents “Art on Fire,” a show of new work, which opens on Friday, Feb. 1, from 5-8 p.m.
There will be a special preview on Thursday, Jan. 31, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Patrons who wish to experience a more intimate setting and meet the artists in the working studios will enjoy this special public preview.
“It has all my favorite sea life including octopus, sea turtles, and dolphin,” explained Glenda Taylor, regarding her vase that is wheel thrown and hand built.
‘We have 2 large hives at home in our oak trees, and I have become fond of the bees going about their daily activities. My Bees with Flowers lidded vessel is a direct result of that; my wandering around in my own garden,” Taylor added.
“I am using these small paintings as guides for larger ones for the show. It is really exciting,” said Shotsi Cain Lajoie, whose ‘Yellow Study’ and ‘Green with White Square study’ are oils on canvas.
“Art on Fire” Tiger Lily Art Studios & Gallery 2013 premier show will be open Feb. 1 through Feb. 28.
Tiger Lily is owned and operated by Travis Blanton, Julia Carter, Donna Dodderadge, Shotsi Cain lajoie, Sharon Koerner Sexton, and Glenda Taylor, who have a working studio located at 1903 14th Ave., in a historic church in downtown Vero Beach.
