Marjorie Arnold-Soash, 88, died Dec. 26, 2012, at Grace Rehabilitation Center of Vero Beach.
She was born in Yonkers, N.Y., and lived in Vero Beach since 1964, coming from her birthplace.
She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, Vero Beach.
She received her master’s degree from Columbia University in New York and undergraduate degree from Manhattanville College of the Sacred Heart in New York City.
She served as the dean of students at the Vero Beach Jr. High School and received her pilot’s license at 22, which allowed her to fly single-engine land and seaplanes.
Survivors include her daughters, Margo Arnold and Dottie Mueller, both of Vero Beach; son, Flip Arnold, of Chicago; brother, Jim Martin, of Albany, N.Y.; stepsons, Norman Soash, of Tampa, Bradley Soash, of Ohio and Don Soash, of New Port Richey; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and eight step-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Philip J. Arnol Jr. and Evan Eugene Soash; and son, Jim Arnold.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Dec. 27 at Strunk Funeral Home in Vero Beach.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Dec. 28 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Vero Beach.
Interment will follow at Crestlawn Cemetery, Vero Beach.
