Kenneth Robert DeLo, 82, died Dec. 2, 2012, at Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne.
He was born in Queens, N.Y., and lived in several boroughs of New York before moving to Florida in 1988.
Before retirement, he was a journeyman carpenter and worked as a deck hand on deep sea fishing boats sailing out of City Island in Bronx, N.Y.
He also was a bee keeper with hives in several orchards in Sebastian.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 189 in Sebastian and was a volunteer for the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary in his younger years.
Survivors include his daughter, Helen DeLo, of St. Augustine; sisters, Hattie Seidenspinner, of Sebastian and Patricia DeLo, of Nanuet, N.Y.; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Bruce DeLo, in 1987.
Services will be private. Interment will be at Sebastian Cemetery.
