Patricia Marion McCarthy, 84, died Nov. 11, 2012, at Sebastian River Medical Center in Sebastian.
She was born in New York City, and lived in Sebastian for 20 years, coming from Flushing, N.Y.
She was the executive assistant to the CEO of the Royal Glass Co., New York, N.Y., and later was employed by the New York City Department of Education for 25 years until her retirement in 1991, where she was one the first female custodian engineers in the NYC Public School System.
She was a member of St. Sebastian Catholic Church in Sebastian.
Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Joseph William McCarthy, of Sebastian; daughters, Patricia Kaltenbach, of Newtonville, Mass. and Elizabeth Lawrence, of Scarsdale, N.Y.; sister, Iris McBride, of Sebastian; brother, Oliver “Gerry” Beacom, of Whitestone, N.Y.; and three grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Nov. 16 at St. Sebastian Catholic Church in Sebastian.
