Joyce S. Vanderveer, 79, died Nov. 27, 2012, at the VNA/Hospice House in Vero Beach.
She was born in Patterson, N.J., and lived in Vero Beach for 20 years, coming from Mahwah, N, J.
Survivors include her husband of 10 years, Joseph W. Hickenbottom of Vero Beach; sons, Fred M. Vanderveer of Marathon and William E. Vanderveer of Daytona Beach; daughters, Lynne C. Brentnall of Palm City, Joy E. Funk of Ocean City, N.J. and Penny L. Davidson of Salem, Ore.; sister, Jeanette Stevens of North Haledon, N.J.; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Visiting Nurse Association/Hospice Foundation, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
Visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m. Nov. 29 at Strunk Funeral Home in Vero Beach.
Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.
Burial will be in Crestlawn Cemetery in Vero Beach.
