Janis Carothers Zamjahn, 79, died Nov. 25, 2012, at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach.
She was born in Eugene, Ore., and lived in Melbourne Beach and Sebastian since 1964, coming from Fairbanks, Alaska.
She worked as a personnel recruiter for five years in Seattle.
She retired as the owner and florist of Exotica Nursery after 33 years.
Survivors include her daughter, Stacy Ealovega, of Sebastian; and son, Taz Zamjahn of Orlando.
Memorial contributions may be made to the VNA Hospice House, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
Private family services will be conducted.
