Richard B. Brown, 69, died Oct. 31, 2012, at his home.
He was born in Green Brook, N.J., and lived in Vero Beach for 20 years, coming from New Jersey.
Before retirement, he worked in insurance sales, and was a retired postal worker.
He served in the Army and he was the assistant to the Commander of NATO Forces in Heidelberg, Germany.
He was of the Catholic faith.
Survivors include his brother, Thomas Brown, of Hilton Head, S.C.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, John Brown and Edward Brown.
