Robert James Geary Jr., 69, died Oct. 9, 2012, at his home.
He was born in Blue Point, N.Y., and lived in Vero Beach for 54 years, coming from his place of birth.
He was the president and founder of MBR Storage Inc., Vero Beach.
He was a graduate of St. Anastasia High School in Fort Pierce and is a member of St. John of the Cross Catholic Church in Vero Beach.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Rita Geary, of Vero Beach; sons, Bob Geary III and David Geary, both of Vero Beach, Gerry Geary, of Sebastian and Jason Geary, of Lutz; daughters, Frances Dawson, Lucy Scheidt, Audrey Velie, Josie Holtzclaw and Jessica Geary, all of Vero Beach, and Mary Geary, of Sebastian; brother, Ed Geary, of Wabasso; sister, Doris Studer, of Ballinger, Texas; 13 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Ann Chesser.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Oct. 11 at St. John of the Cross Catholic Church, with a prayer service and rosary beginning at 6 p.m.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Oct. 12 at the church with interment at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
A reception will follow at 11:30 a.m. Oct. 12 at The Club at Pointe West in Vero Beach.
