Joy Elaine Myers, 60, died Oct. 24, 2012, at Indian River Medical Center.
She was born in Carlisle, Pa., and lived in Vero Beach since 1999.
She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, Vero Beach.
Prior to retirement, she was the owner of Joy’s Beauty Shop in Carlisle.
Survivors include her son, Justin David Myers, of Newville, Pa.; mother, Arlene L. Mixell, of Vero Beach; brother, Lonnie Mixell, of Vero Beach; sisters, Angie Kotinsly and Dixie Miller, of Mechanicsburg, Pa.; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Dawn Jumper; and her brother, Dennis Mixell.
Services will be in Pennsylvania at a later date.
