VERO BEACH — It’s time to get fired up for the 9th annual Indian River County Firefighters’ Chili and Salsa Cookoff on Saturday, Nov. 10, from 5-9 p.m. at Riverside Park under the oaks.
We’re serving up some heat on the beach so you can sample the Treasure Coast’s best chili and salsa.
Just in time for the holidays, the firefighters are reinventing the way you think about chili and salsa by adding new divisions: turkey and pumpkin divisions for chili, and a pumpkin division for salsa.
Free to attend, free parking, and just $5 for 10 samples of chili and/or salsa, live music, food, and cornhole tournament.
There will be Lowe’s kids’ workshop, bounce houses, and face painters, so bring the whole family.
Enter the contest to show off your family’s secret recipe or even to promote your business.
Proceeds will benefit Childcare Resources and other nonprofit charities supporting children.
