Lucille S. West, 81, died Aug. 1, 2012, at Palm Garden of Vero Beach.
She was born in Cordele, Ga., and lived in Indian River County more than 55 years.
Before retirement, she was a certified nurse’s assistant.
She was a member of the Church of God in Christ of Wabasso, where she served as a missionary and mother of the church.
She was a part of the Special K Group.
Survivors include her daughters, Louise Thompson and Diotha West, both of Tacoma, Wash., and Annie Kate West, Brenda West-Troutman, Barbara Jean West, Sharon Norman Bass and Jacquline Jones, all of Vero Beach; brother, Shevie Staley, of Melbourne; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom West Jr.; son, Lorenzo Tom West; brother, Willie James Staley; and a grandson, Tyrone Gordon.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Aug. 10, with a wake service from 7 to 8 p.m., at Stone Brothers Funeral Chapel in Gifford.
The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Aug. 11 at Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Vero Beach.
Burial will follow at Crestlawn Cemetery in Vero Beach.
