Herbert Arthur Weismiller, 91, Vero Beach

Herbert Arthur Weismiller, 91, died June 13, 2012.

He was a resident of The Moorings in Vero Beach.

Before retirement, he was the senior vice president of Berry Companies, a parent company of several construction distributors.

In addition to his administrative and financial duties, he flew the company’s twin engine airplane.

He was served in the Army Air Forces during World War II, where he was a navigator and taught celestial navigation, before spending a year with a troop carrier group in the Philippines.

After World War II, he was in the Kansas Air Guard navigating B57s.

He retired from the Air Guard in 1965 as a lieutenant colonel.

He was a member of many clubs and organizations, including the Vero Beach Yacht Club.

He graduated from the Harvard University Graduate School of Business Administration.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Mary Weismiller; stepchildren, Mary, Georgian and Cheri Senecal; one grandchild; two great-grandchildren; two step-grandsons; and four stepgreat-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his son, Douglas Scott Weismiller.

Burial will be at later date at Sunset Memorial Park in St. Louis.
