Doris Jean “Dege” Bjorgan, 86, died June 5, 2012, in Vero Beach.
She was born and raised in Goldfield, Iowa, then moved to California.
She lived in Seattle and Portland, Ore., before traveling internationally with her husband in 1969.
Over the next 18 years, they lived in Tokyo; The Hague, Netherlands; Durban, South Africa; Istanbul; and Washington, D.C.
She moved to Vero Beach in 1998.
She was a member of the Friendship Club of Vero Beach and the Columbia Tower Club of Seattle.
Survivors include her daughters, Mali Bjorgan, of Chatham, N.Y., and Mary Kay Riley, of Vero Beach; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford O. Bjorgan; and youngest daughter, Linda Bjorgan.
