Herbert F. Greenhalgh, 89, died June 13, 2012, at Sebastian River Medical Center.
He was born in Kearny, N.J., and lived in South Florida since 1991.
He was a veteran of the Army Air Force during World War II.
He was a graduate of Catawba University in North Carolina.
He had been the owner of Country Ham N’ Egg Restaurant in Sebastian.
Survivors include his daughter, Virginia Govel, of Stuart; son, Herbert Greenhalgh, of Sebastian; sister, Joan, of Jackson, N.J.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Greenhalgh; brother, Robert Greenhalgh; and son, William Govel.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. June 20 at Forest Hills Funeral Home, Palm City Chapel.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. June 21 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Palm City.
