Helen V. Mezger, 96, died June 18, 2012, at Indian River Medical Center, Vero Beach.
She was born in Jersey City, N.J., and lived in Vero Beach and Fort Pierce for 38 years, coming from Washington, D.C.
Before retirement, she was a telegraph operator for Western Union in New Jersey and Washington.
Survivors include her brothers, Richard Troy and Robert Troy, both of Vero Beach, and Daniel Troy, of Seattle; and sister, Irene Riccardi, of Vero Beach.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 19 years, Hermann Mezger.
Services will be at 2 p.m. June 20 at Aycock Funeral Home, Fort Pierce.
