VERO BEACH — The Indian River Community Foundation proudly announces its successful nomination of longtime supporter J. Vincent Boyle as the recipient of the 2012 Pinnacle Award for excellence in promoting charitable giving through estate and gift planning.
Boyle received the award April 17 at Quail Valley River Club during a breakfast celebration hosted by the Indian River Estate Planning Council and the Planned Giving Council of Indian River. Attendees included industry professionals, nonprofit leaders, as well as clients and friends.
“Vince is one of our area’s most respected Certified Public Accountants and is a well-known advocate for clients and charitable organizations,” said Kerry Bartlett, Executive Director of the Indian River Community Foundation.
“He truly believes in the power of philanthropy as a tool to improve our community and has shown us his commitment through both professional and volunteer leadership,” Bartlett added.
A partner with Morgan, Jacoby, Thurn, Boyle & Associates, Boyle is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
He is the current Chairman of the Board for Dollars for Scholars and is a member of the Professional Advisors Council of the Indian River Community Foundation. He previously served as a board member and past president of the Education Foundation of Indian River County.
The purpose of the Pinnacle Award is to honor a professional advisor, living or deceased, for outstanding voluntary service to Indian River County in promoting charitable giving through estate and gift planning.
According to Bartlett, a planned gift is often the largest single gift a person will ever make, and an enormous amount of good can result for both the donor and the community.
“The role of a professional advisor is critical to making it a successful experience by educating and advising clients, but also through listening and interpreting their charitable passion,” Bartlett said. “Vince embodies all of the qualities of a successful advisor and has earned the highest respect of his peers, clients, and nonprofit leaders.”
The Indian River Community Foundation began operating in 2008 to encourage, support, and facilitate philanthropy in Indian River County.
As a nonprofit organization, the foundation works in partnership with donors, professional advisors, and other nonprofits to support initiatives, activities, and programs that enhance the quality of life in Indian River County.
The foundation currently holds $11 million in assets designated for charitable purposes and has facilitated over $7 million in giving over the last four years.
