VERO BEACH — The Indian River Genealogical Society will hold its last general meeting of the season on Tuesday, May 1, in the Indian River County Main Library, 1600 21st St. in Vero Beach.
Two members, both experienced researchers, will present the program.
The society’s Vice President Bob Satola will discuss the 1940 U.S. Census and explain how IRGS members are helping Family Search index the census. Webmaster Bob Inhoff will review the society’s website and provide a variety of useful information to members and guests.
In a departure from the society’s usual schedule, this meeting will be held the first Tuesday of May. The meeting will convene at 9:30 a.m. in the library’s large, first floor conference room. Following a brief business session and refreshments, the program will begin approximately 10:30 a.m.
All IRGS general meetings are free and open to the public.
Membership in the IRGS is open to all who are interesed in researching their family’s history.
