William Earl Strauss, 86, died April 3, 2012, at the VNA Hospice House, Vero Beach.
He was born in Lakewood, Ohio, and lived in Sebastian for 10 years, coming from Ormond Beach.
Before retirement, he was a pilot and worked for the Federal Aviation Administration.
He was veteran of World War II, serving in the Army Air Forces.
He was of the Christian Science faith.
He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Moose Lodge in Sebastian.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Winifred Mae Strauss, of Sebastian, who died two days after him; and a sister, Mildred Ericson of Malvern, Pa.
