VERO BEACH, FL – April 7, 2025 – United Way of Indian River County invites the community to an evening of excitement and celebration at the Third Annual Trike Wars and Thank You Block Party on Friday, May 2, at Sailfish Brewery Vero Beach. The event kicks off at 5:00 PM and promises an unforgettable experience for all attendees. The highlight of the evening is Trike Wars, where teams from United Way Torchbearer Workplaces—organizations contributing $12,000 or more annually through employee and corporate giving—compete in relay-style races for the coveted championship trophy. Last year, three lucky community members won a raffle to join a trike team and ultimately took home the title. Raffle tickets are available again this year for your chance to compete. Following the race, the celebration continues with a lively block party featuring live music from 60 West, street bars with food, and family-friendly activities. This event marks the culmination of United Way’s Annual Campaign, honoring the volunteers, donors, workplaces, and funded partners who help drive the organization's mission forward. Tricycle sponsors include Morgan Petersen Wealth Management and Gould Cooksey Fennell. The 2024-2025 Torchbearer Workplaces include Bank of America/Merrill Lynch, The Hill Group, Florida Floor Fashions, Indian River County, Indian River Sheriff’s Office, Northern Trust, Publix, FPL, Seacoast Bank, School District of Indian River County, Space Coast Credit Union, Cleveland Clinic, and the Bernard A. Egan Foundation. Community members are encouraged to attend and take part in the festivities.
